ELCQ — Eric Lee’s Creative Quarters
ABOUT ERIC / ERIC LEE’S CREATIVE QUARTERS

I want to understand
why a choice works.

I’m Eric Lee. ELCQ is where I examine websites, brands and the decisions behind them, and share what the work can teach.

THE MISSION

TO LEARN.
AND TO SHARE.

ELCQ is a place to look closer, follow a creative question, and share what the work can teach us.

THE POINT OF VIEW

Good design has reasons.

A website is full of decisions: what to say first, what to leave out, where to direct attention and how to make the next step clear. Most of those decisions are invisible to the people who live with the results. ELCQ gives them room to be examined.

I look at creative work with curiosity and a point of view. I explain what I see, make the assumptions visible and propose possibilities without presenting taste as a rule. When I am guessing, I say so.

Understanding the reasons helps owners ask better questions and helps creatives make more deliberate choices. That is the whole purpose of the platform.

Ecosystem
Eric Lee’s Creative Quarters is a distinct commercial and editorial brand in the ecosystem with Designer First, SEOD and MRWP. You should always know which brand is responsible.

01

Start with context.

Who is the work for? What question or task should it help with? If I do not know, I state the assumption.

02

Follow the decisions.

Point to visible details and explain the idea behind them. Observation, opinion and proposal are labelled so you can tell them apart.

03

Keep the limits visible.

A visual reading cannot see private analytics or customer behaviour. Where evidence is missing, the study says what evidence would settle it.

WHAT ELCQ IS, AND IS NOT

A distinct voice.
Clear boundaries.

ELCQ publishes studies and offers a scoped review. It does not design, build or run campaigns. When a review points toward production, Designer First takes that on as a separate project. Broader growth needs may belong with SEOD and defined ongoing web needs with MRWP. Any introduction names the responsible brand and the agreed work.
